The Wolf Next Door By Lydia Dare

By Lydia Dare

About The Book: The Wolf Next Door
Rogue, Rake.Werewolf. Years ago on a full moon, Lord William Westfield gave way to his inner beast and nearly ruined young Prisca Hawthorne. Knowing he can never trust himself in the arms of the woman he loves, he throws himself into a debauched lifestyle. When Westfield discovers he has a rival for Prisca's love, he decides if she's going to marry a Lycan it damn well better be him. But time is running out as Prisca's other suitor takes an instant and potentially fatal dislike to Westfield.

About The Author:

Lydia Dare is an active member of the Heart of Carolina Romance Writers and sits on the organization’s board of directors. She lives in a house filled with boys and an animal or two (or 10) near Raleigh, NC.

My Thoughts:
Historical settings, Lycan intrigue, and lovable characters energizes this fun read from beginning to end. Prisca Hawthorne is a fiery lady who manages to present wolfish Lord William Westfield with a worthy contest of wills in The Wolf Next Door. I liked author Lydia Dare's writing voice. It's obvious that she knows her characters intimately and reveals that to her readers in the most satisfying ways. Her strong, alpha hero, Lord William Westfield, has scruples, a sensitive conscience, and lots of heart. Her heroine has strong opinions, the will to carry them out, and a giving heart strong enough to tame the most troublesome of men. Her dialogue is witty, entertaining, and is used effectively in driving the story's plot.
