About The Book:
Robert's life is about to change. Freshly retired, he renews with a childhood dream of becoming an artist. But his old-fashioned paintings appall his much younger wife. She's cool and artsy, they fight over art but what is at stake is their marriage. And that is only the beginning of Robert's troubles...After a period of separation marked by sexual adventures and disenchantment, Robert attempts to remodel himself as a contemporary artist to win back his wife. He dreams up a weird installation called a "Hook in the Sky" that could change their lives forever but wreaks havoc around them...

Lynda's Review:
For Baby Boomers, this story answers the questions, How gracefully does one come-of-age after having aged? That's my own take on this story, anyway. I would have thought that the main character, Robert, would have learned some important life-lessons by the time he retired but, in fact, this character acts as clueless and irresponsible as any 15 year-old. To be honest, I didn't much enjoy this story since I found most of the situations pathetic instead of sympathetic.

On the brighter side. Author Claude Nougat writes with wit and a unique style and many Baby Boomers have enjoyed her perspective on life. I'm giving this book Two Stars!
